"Until one has loved an animal,
a part of one's soul remains unawakened."
- Anatole France

Let’s face it: those of us who have pets tend to think of them as our best friends — or sometimes, our kids. They are an important part of our lives. That’s why the OHCC Pet Lovers Club was formed — to further all issues regarding the welfare of our companion animals. We provide community socialization, support and safety for pets and their owners.

The Club works in cooperation with other animal groups, such as the Humane Society, Canine Companions, Love on a Leash and PAWS to benefit all companion animals. We have several membership meetings a year, with programs designed to assist owners in the training and maintenance of healthy, appreciated and loved animals.

Our general membership meeting is in November, and we have at least one other meeting during the year, usually in August. One special service offered by our Club is maintaining an updated data base of resident pets and their owners to help reunite them if lost, and to care for pets in the event of a family health emergency. All dogs and cats are registered residents of OHCC and should be included on the annual registration form so that we can easily reunite a found pet with it's owner. The Club also maintains a list of local pet services for our members.

If you love pets, this is the Club for you.
